Holy Mother of God. Johnny was and will always be the king of Rock-Blues. Love JH, SRV, Roy B, Rory. And this cat was the Mack Daddy. I love how he completely slays the lead part of Gimmie Shelter and makes it his own. He literally proceeds to make it better than any of the Stones guitarist could ever achieve. If anybody knew what to do with that song, Johnny was the one. I had the good fortune to sit down with him for a few minutes after a show in 2013 and he autographed my ticket. I wanted to shake his hand but his fingers looked so fragile I was afraid to offer.
